Horrible game.

This is by far the worst game I have ever played, on any gaming platform. The game obviously was not finished and the developers and programmers should be fired for ever allowing this to release.
At first it sounds like an amazing strategy game. Then you realize how repetitive it is. Once u play for 2 minutes there is nothing new to discover. Horrible horrible game I would recommend you never waste your time with this game.

Real Time Conflict: Shogun Empires published by Namco is sadly and truly a joke. If Nintendo was to do another 100 worse games panel that they did in episode 100 this would be near the top.

I played through this game, hoping it would get better. I was wrong. The games sprites although drawn okay, have no animation and are badly done. The only solid graphics in this game are the opening intro.

Game play for this is equal to pointing and clicking the DS screen and hope your units will attack them and the other ones in the unit without babysitting them. The other use of the DS screen when your not moving pretty much the same units around the screen is a point and shot thing when attacking castles.

Story wise the game starts out solid. Sounds good, but everything else takes away from this game. This game is truly a joke. If you wish to scar a gamer just starting out or to hurt an enemy of yours. Get him this game and have him play it.

Both good and bad

When they say real time - they mean it - but they also have a simulation mode so you can bypass the real time, but that then make it far too easy to play (and lose). If there was a way to speed up the real time portion of it, then the game might have been better. The game is more enjoyable under the real time mode, but doing one battle can take an hour to complete with how slow the pieces move - they really do move in real time. And I also found it too easy to upgrade your men to the max, and even at the max, they still get slaughtered from time to time by extremely weak troops - so the game is also pretty unbalanced.
