Rise of a Real Challenging Platformer

This game is the perfect start for the return for hardcore platforming. Having spent so many years playing Mario games, they have really become repetitive after so long. Sure some are challenging, but it was in the end quite simple if done right.
In Rayman though, it proved to be completely new to me, having a creative locations with artistic look, well made song track fitting for each level and even interactive to the game play, unique abilities, and challenging levels that test your skills and the new tricks you learn.
It proved to be a great game to me since despite the many deaths I had it drove me to keep playing to just win in the end. However, the only disappointment was the final level boss, but it hints of a possible squeal to many Rayman fans who have a sharp eye on things. What made up for this though was the secret level, which by far is a platformers worst nightmare, pushing the limits on timing, speed, memory, and reaction. Beating it just gives an overall feeling of achievement and even has you trying again just to beat it faster.
I think its a worthy rent for the single player fun and a buy if you have the friends to play it with for the add difficultly and enjoyment.
