Ratchet and Clank Future: Going Lame-o

I've played all the Ratchet and Clanks (excluding the psp releases) up to this point and i must say this is simply the worst of them all. Remember in R&C 2 going commando, where developer insomniac introduced all the new game mechanics such as arena fights, weapon leveling and modding and clank levels and interesting side-quest type areas of levels?
Now remember that R&C 3 Up your arsenal built upon that by adding more arenas, more varied weapons, more captain qwark and a neat little war side quest on a couple planets.
So for this game the majority of those game mechanics are discarded for no reason. theres one arena and its not as intense as R&C 2 where you fight 100 waves. The weapons are lame and have been done to death. And even worse your still grinding to get better guns and more health.
Technically, I have no idea why this is a ps3 game. It plays and looks exactly like a ps2 game which i bet is how it was designed with the exception that it glitches out occasionally. The only difference I noticed is that Ratchet now has fur/whiskers sticking out of his face. Was a cell processor really needed to code freaking 2 whisker textures? You visit boring worlds and fight annoying robots been there done that.
The story boils down to stop the bad guy, thats it.
It feels like insomniac ran out of fuel and phoned in this game. Nothing is memorable (except for capt. qwark) or original in this game. its amazing it still goes for $30. This game would have been impressive if released after the 1st R&C but it isn't. We are a console generation beyond that and honestly this whole game is amazing disappointing.
R&C 4 Deadlocked while a departure from the norm, at least tried something new and i felt it worked well, it didn't rehash R&C 3 and give us a terrible and boring game like this one. Apparently there is a DLC game tied to this but i'm going to skip it since the base game was just awful.
Hopefully the next game isn't 3 steps back in quality like this one was.
