This second installment of the Ratchet and Clank universe is in a word... awesome. The guys at Insomniac really show that they listen to the players by bringing the best and leaving the worst from the original, making Going Commando one of the best plat-forming sequels. A few of the levels felt too long and repetitive but these were few and not enough to take away from the gaming experience. This is defiantly a game for the fans. Those new to the series will have no problem picking up the game and enjoying the fun.

This game is great. The weapons that you have are really neat.

The only reason that the my rating is down to an eight is because

sometimes it can be a little confusing when you have to explore the

area and it says that you didn't.

But it is still a great game, definetly a buy.

Some of you may have read my review for Future Tactics: The Uprising, and already know that I traded that in. Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando is what I chose to replace the empty space on my shelf. Anyway, I'm going to compare this to Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal. First I'll write a review for Going Commando, then I'll write one for Up Your Arsenal.

But first, I should explain the series. Ratchet & Clank are a duo of intergalactic heroes who really know how to win a fight: blow the bad guys up! This mayhem is the signature of the series.

Before playing R&C: Going Commando, I had played Ratchet: Deadlocked and R&C: Up Your Arsenal. I picked this because I loved both of those, and was sure I was going to love this just as much. Like the rest of the series, this has amazing graphics and a good storyline. It also has a TON of replay value, there's a lot of extra side-missions. But I give this a 7 for 3 reasons. 1: Is a simple drop-in/fall-out multiplayer to much to ask for? I loved that in Deadlocked. 2: The checkpoints seem so far apart, especially in the beginning planets. 3: The other games seem so much funnier. I give this 7 out of 10.

R&C: Up Your Arsenal was the second R&C game I ever played. Up Your Arsenal also has a good plot, nice, polished graphics and a bunch of replay value. But they fixed the flaws that Going Commando had in this one. I give R&C: Up Your Arsenal 9 out of 10.

So there you have it. I recommend Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal over Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando. But I still recommend the entire series to any and all who even remotely like action/adventure games.

I don't what I didn't like about this game. I loved the diverse weapon collection that Ratchet has in his new, kick butt arsenal. My favorite had to be the Pulse Rifle. The gameplay was amazing! I thought that I was playing a PS3 game; the gameplay and graphics were so good. The gameplay pretty much covered every flaw in this game. Whatever flaws the gameplay had left was completely wiped out by the graphics. The graphics were so awesome that I couldn't help but go "Wow!" every time Ratchet's Gravity Bomb Launcher went off.

I got this game the day it came out and i beat it in 5 hours and they where the best 5 hours of my life!!! It didnt stop there i beat it 30 more times to unlock every thing and still up to this day, i play this game!!!!!!

This is quite an awesome game! I LOVED IT! It was an improvement on the original, which was fantastic as well. LOVE this game!

Graphics-8/10- The graphics on this game are very nice for a PS2 game. The weapons in particular look great, and all of that makes for a very nice-looking game.

Gameplay-10/10+ - This game has even more weapons than the first. Awesome new guns like the "Sheep Ray" and "Blitz Gun" are ones that really stand out. Though the gameplay is undeniably simple, it is actually deeper and a little bit more complicated than it would first appear, with interesting and sometimes involving, but always well spaced out, puzzles and tasks.

Story-9/10- The story of this game sure isn't the star attraction or "stick in the mind" feature, but it is very nice and funny at times. Ratchet and Clank have the same great voice actors and same cheesy, foolish, and often laugh-out-loud funny personalities of the first game.

Multiplayer-N/A

Length/Difficulty/Replay Value-10/10- The game is quite long. I must have played for at least 10 or 11 hours and was not even close to finishing when I began writing this review. I admit, I was searching for the secrets and extras of the game. The game is also of a perfect difficulty, it has its slightly challenging bits, but it is never overly hard or extremely easy to the point of boredom. The replay value of the game is also lucrative to a gamer such as me. You can restart the game with special new weapons, and there are simply tons of secrets to find and upgrades to attain.

Final Score-10/10-Unbelievable- At the end of the day, this game is fantastic. It is a great way to enjoy a weekend, or more realistically, multiple weekends. Definetly worth your rent!

ratchet and clank going comando is a great follow up to the orignal the story is great the weapons are great. The only problem is challenge mode it is pointless. This game is also very funny. If you liked the orignal i would suggest this too you.

This game is awesome.If you have not played it,you are missing out,it has a great story,awesome weapons,wierd enemies,space combat,with cool secrets & unlockables too.You play as Ratchet and Clank,the heroes from the first game trough new adventures in a new galaxy with TONS of other new things.The only bad points are:it is too short,and You have to work hard to get anything really cool.And there is a FREAKING AWESOME weapon called the R.Y.N.O. witch is a cross between a rocket launcher and a machine gun.Buy it,it is money well spent.

I sat down with the first Ratchet and Clank about 1 year ago and was totally blown away. Insomniac has proven themselves to be one of the most creative platform game designers around. The weapons were innovative, the story was hilarious, and the characters were all lovable. Then I moved to Going Commando, expecting just a more polished version of the first game, but was totally blown away. Not only was the story more involved and better written, the game play was a whole lot tighter, the levels were more diverse, the side missions are a lot more creative and the weapons...oh the weapons were glorious. The fact that you can xfer your old save from the first game and import the weapons you bought on there was the icing on the already delicious cake. I'm sure you can get the details of the game from this site so I wont go into it but just know that, if you loved or even just somewhat liked the original Ratchet and Clank then this game is definantly worth your time. Pick it up, trust me.

See the title. You want proof? Fine. Here it is...

This game has an EXCELLENT story with funny cut scenes and movies. The characters and memorable and the guns are bigger, better AND upgradeable. The missions are fun, and there are battle arenas where you can earn more cash to blow more stuff up. The levels are full of things that go BOOM or go SPLAT. The levels themselves...well, they are a little narrow (can only do one thing)I liked the music. It has that R&C-like tune to it. I also liked how you can upgrade your ship, change its color, everything. This game has a lot of potential for re-play ability too, because of unlockables and such. Just rent this game...no, actually go to your nearest game store, ask the teller if it's in stock AND BUY IT!

I'm sure you know this but, this is the ssequal to the fun gamae known as Ratchet & Clank. Insomniac did so good with the first game, they decided to make a second. I don't blame them! This game was very fun and challenging! I now own it, along with the first. Please, for all who liked the first game, play this one!

Ratchet and Clank Going Commando is the second best Best game aside Kingdom Hearts 2.
The good:
Great Graphics
pretty funny game
good voice acting
Tons of cool weapons
Great action game overall

The Bad:
Camera can get in the way at times
You can die very easy at the Begining of the Game

ratchet and clank 2- climbing walls

ok to be able to do this you will have to beat the gane once.
(i have beat the game six times it has worked for me every time.)
go to your specials bar go to the first person mode and put it on.
then exit out of the pause menu. go to a wall (example planet barlow)
go to the eleavator when it is up and dubble jump and use your wrench. you should be climbing.(make sure you are close to the wall
and keep hitting the wall with the wrench.)this should work for the following levels ozola,barlow,notak,joba,bodan,todando,snivelak,smolog,grelbin thats it.

When I first got this game, I was trying to get back into platform gaming. It was pretty fun at first. But as I progressed, I got tired of shooting around. I wanted an actual challenge that wasn't a 'shoot before he does or die.' The soundtrack was ok, and everything else was fine, but it gets old. Not to be harsh, but really?

This game is ridiculously hard,everything is overpriced, enemies are too hard near the ending, and there are tons and tons of levels. it gets pretty ridiculous. it's my least favorite. but I like the series and humor and plot so i give it a 6.

The Ratchet & Clank franchise must be profitable. They keep cranking out these episodes. It's puzzles and shooting mostly -With some mysteries to solve. New creatures and some stunning animations make this a great game for teenagers. The character animation of Crank is excellent. If this is a game of the future, things look bright.

ok i have to start that this game is a crazy awesome game. I didn't even have to rent it. I bought it out of curiosity and it was an immediate favorite. The weapons are fantastic and original and there is a degree of difficulty that is not too hard or easy. With various types of missions, either on land or in your spaceship or on a hang glider, this game will keep you entertained. With so many side missions, this will surely take you a long time to finish, which is good. With the right amount of laugh out loud humor, this game is fun for anyone to enjoy. With great graphics, weapons, enemies, and atleast 50 hours of gameplay, this game will surely please.

This game is the best platformer I have ever played. Better then Jak and Daxter, Raymond, Even Mario Bros. Okay, maybe not Mario Bros, but this is a very fun game, I played through it several times to unlock everything and to just us the different weapons. Try this game, one of the best for the PS2.

i'm a huge fan of shooter games,action/adventure game and rpgs.but when it comes to the ratchet and clank series there in my top 50 favorite games list i mean come on the game has no loding screens no bugs or dumb levels.i just have one complaintent it's not very hard.other than that its great

The rachet and clank series is one of my favorite list of games and Going Commando is DEFINETLY MY FAVORITE!!Although this one is my favorite ,all the other ones I've played(1 ,2 ,and 3)are also great and very Indigous!I haven't tried "Size Matters" or "Lock Down" but just those 3 say "RACHET'S AWSOME"!!!I definetly think these games are great for the top of your Q.What's amazing about them is the Humor and Especially the WEAPONS!!!You can roam the Galaxy and beat the HECK out of alien scums!!What's also cool is the veriety of space ship accesories you can get and the MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!That's all for today folks ,Bye!!!
