To sum up this Wii game one would have to say "nice try." This game very obviously was designed for all the other consoles. The game looks very nice, but the controls are the exact same as they were in the original release of Rampage on the 1st Nintendo; 1 punch button, 1 jump button. The guys at Nintendo tried to bring some Wiiness to the game by adding some Slash and Smash functionality by swinging the Wiimote, but it is buggy at best. Although this game does not work for the Wii, it was promising enough for me to add it back in my que for the PS3.
I got this game and immediately got into it. For the first 15mins the game was great. I then saw the problem with it. After I beat Vegas (stage 1). I suddenly realized that I got bored of its repition. I was a fairly big fan of the original even though it was just as monotinous, but this one just couldnt hold my attention for longer than a few levels. Monsters are great...they did good there, controls were somewhat awkward at first but by the time I got the hang of it I got bored as I said before.
