One of the considerations I have to consider when playing a game is that I suffer from severe anxiety. I can be challenged without feeling pain from my anxiety. However, there are games where the developers upped the difficulty considerably, or changed the nature of the game's physical world to make the game doubly challenging. I have seen this happen in Gears of War at the final boss battle. And, I have seen it in this game. I am fighting these Heavy Hover Tanks in the level Nexus Core. After nearly an hour, I had to give up. I had used every weapon in my arsenal, and I wasn't feeling that I was making a dent. I had these things spawning next to me - which I feel is cheating by the way - and taking a huge chunk out of my health. I had these things hitting me with weapons that knock my character backwards, sometimes down a pit. This game left me feeling more anxious and in pain from the anxiety than when I started. For me, this is a deal breaker.
This game was awful. Even taking into consideration the fact that it was made so long ago it is awful. It is trying to be halo but failing epically. You just run from room to room killing one or two types of enemies until you finish the mission. Then you do it all over again. I found myself getting lost because everything looks the exact same.
Avoid this game. After playing about half way through I sealed it up and sent it back.
