Punchout III...

Let's face it, there wasn't a whole lot to do with this game. Hard to improve on, hard to take away from. Punchout games are timeless. It'll never get old tappin' in as Little Mac and going toe-to-toe with characters two or three times your size. They've added some things to inject a wee amount of change, most notably the multiplayer aspect. Fun stuff for the most part. They didn't stray from the formula, and the game holds true to it's roots.
The only thing that I found ridiculously peeving about this installment was the audio throughout the fights. Not a huge deal by any means, but the characters you fight against talk entirely too much... and everything they say just happens to be annoying. And the only real purpose for these sayings is letting you know when an attack is coming. It's redundant, and unnecessary. And it makes the game seem geared for a child's entertainment.
I guess you could just turn the volume down.
Anywho, decent game for the most part. Just a tad bit annoying audio-wise.
