When I first started playing this game, I was hooked. Violence, super powers, interesting story, what more could one want. I felt powerful from the very beginning and I knew that I would be able to upgrade those powers to make me super uber (yes, super super). People have complained about the chaos on screen and how you lose sight of objectives. I personally never had that problem, and I feel that chaos is fitting for a game in which there is a world ending event happening on an island. So, I have to ask myself, why did I stop playing the game before finishing it? I have no answer. I just lost interest. All it took was a one day break and I had no interest to get back in there and fight the good/bad fight. Maybe it was the unsatisfying side missions, or feeling a little overwhelmed with my many choices of powers. Whatever it was I just did not want to play anymore so I sent it back. I would recommend renting it, I had some fun while playing it. I would also recommend that if you do rent it, use the targeting system, very helpful in keeping you focused.
Pros- violence, super powers, sandbox game. Decent voice acting, decent story. Controls, decent looking game considering all of the action on screen. Running people over in a tank.
Cons-boring side missions (couple exceptions) Too many powers to monitor and pick from. Controls (a few situations will annoy and frustrate (i.e. climbing a spire to reach a hidden object).
All in all I enjoyed this game, and again, would recommend it. I don't know if it was just the timing or what, that kept me from wanting to come back to it but it just couldnt hold my interest.
Play the game and form your own opinion.
Side Note- Please do not compare this game to iNfamous. Two separate games. Just pretend that iNfamous never came out and judge this game on its own merit.
