if you didnt play part one its fine part 2 explains itself to you. a positive of the game would have to be all the violence thats in the game and the story mode.a negative of the game would be how short the game is . it took me like 4 hours to beat it or even more, but all in all the game gets a A-

Prototype 2 is a great game that delivers all that was promised and more. This game puts you in the shoes of Sergeant James Heller, a military man that was on a mission in the Red Zone when him and his team were ambushed by none other than Alex Mercer, the anti-hero of the first game. After a chase through the Red Zone, Mercer leads you to an alley where he infects you with the virus, making you the Prototype. After a web of lies leads you into doing his dirty work, the truth comes out and a battle begins between the two super-powered men. This open world adventure offers much to do in the three individual parts of NYZ. Although the story falls short of excellent, you will still want to pick this up if your looking for a good action/adventure game. The graphics are good and the abilities you gain from playing through the main story are satisfying and really add to the destructive power of Heller. The game never froze during my hours of playthrough, and there was barely any pop-in textures around the city. Overall this is a great game and I recommend it to any fan of open-world adventures.

Prototype 2 more enjoyable

I liked the first Prtotype, I really did, but honestly at the beginning of the game none of the power-ups felt like they were doing much to actually make my character stronger. It wasn't until near the end that I actually felt like my character was getting to the point of a super powered being. That is what I really liked about this game. Every time I leveled my guy up, I felt like he was becoming stronger, faster, more powerful, and it really kept me coming back to this one.

However the graphics on this title are honestly dated, they aren't terrible, but definitely not cutting edge at this point in time. I will also admit to the gameplay getting a little repetitive at times, and it really felt like the story was there just to propel me into finding the next "key" figure consuming him and then mosying on out of the base like nothing happened. The enemy AI is pretty bad to, and really that was a major sticking point for me in the last game. I mean honestly if you see a guy just float on in to your secure area land and start messing with your computers wouldn't you get a little suspicious, not these guys!

The Goliath fights are really cool, as is the final battle, and like I said every power-up gained just makes them a little easier to plow through, really giving you that feeling of being an unstoppable super powered monster.

All in all I say good rental, but not something I would hang onto for very long, as is there doesn't really seem to be any replayability.
