Very Good

a great and overlooked shooter

first of all Deus Ex is probably one of the best games of all time that said PS should seriously not be even considered similar to DE in fact it is a much faster and chaotic battlefield counterpart to what Eidos had accomplished with DE and DEIW. When you first start out in PS you might find yourself thinking that you are playing a standard and graphically sub par arcade shooter. But if you are patient and bare through the opening level than you will find out that PS is so much deeper than what meets the eye. You will find a shooter that combines tactics and strategim with chaotic twitch based gunplay where you will use bionic augmentations to kill and outmanuever hordes of enemy AI in harmonuous battles of speed and wit. The AI of PS will not blow you away in fact they really don't hold up to modern gaming standards at all, for instance often you will have baddies that will just stand still out in the open and fire at you and at the same time some AI will actually take cover and try to outsmart and flank you these two conflicting sub ruotines can really chop up the flow of gameplay and take you, the gamer out of the experience. The graphics of PS are seriously out dated which actually makes sense considering they are using a four year old engine but the graphics can seriously become a bit of an eyesore as you are blasting through a rather lengthy campaign where you will be staring at the same texture found in DE which even back then were pretty bad over and over again. The Controls of PS arent bad at all, they actually make a lot of sense but often scrolling through multiple interface windows in the middle of a firefight can become tiresome especially when navigating this window interface is already a clunky ordeal, all the onscreen bars and gages clutter the screen often.
But all of this is overlooked by the fact that PS is simply ingenious in its hybrid concept of mixing the RPG-esque augmentation and leveling system of DE with frenetic battlefield action.

Project Snowblind is like a shooter version of Deus Ex. If you never play that game, its worth buying. Well, Project Snowblind has a decent, unique selection of weapons. The main character, Nathan Frost, is a superhuman that has special abilities can turn an impossible situation into the easiest. He can turn invisible, slow down time, and send a surge of electricity to an enemy. Its very realistic from the emp attacks. If he is struck by an emp attack, the screen frizz up and returns slow from his electronic upgrades. This is a definite must buy.
