If you’re looking for a solid FPS and you can get past the dated graphics I highly recommend renting Snowblind. At first glance the game looks like your standared run and gun FPS. But the game actually does a really good job of setting itself apart from a lot of other FPS. And one of the ways the game does this is by giving you a number of different abilities ranging from thermal vision to slow-mo to, name a couple. You have an energy bar below your HP bar which lets you use your abilities. It’s a neat idea that gives the game a different feel then a lot of other FPS. Another thing that sets the game apart from other FPS is the games flow of the game. None of the games levels feel forced or like they were just thrown in as fillers. The games doesn’t feel too short or long when you finish the game you feel like the game was just the right length. Snowblind has a better story then your average FPS. It’s nothing that hasn’t been seen before, but it gives the game another layer and helps make the action more enjoyable. The controls are as good as your going to get for a FPS out side of Mouse and keyboard or Wii. The only thing That hasn’t held up well over the years are the graphics they look like cr#$ when compared to 360/PS3 games. But if you can forgive that I think most FPS fan will find Snowblind to be a solid rent.
Be safe all and happy gaming.

Project Snowblind is like a shooter version of Deus Ex. If you never play that game, its worth buying. Well, Project Snowblind has a decent, unique selection of weapons. The main character, Nathan Frost, is a superhuman that has special abilities can turn an impossible situation into the easiest. He can turn invisible, slow down time, and send a surge of electricity to an enemy. Its very realistic from the emp attacks. If he is struck by an emp attack, the screen frizz up and returns slow from his electronic upgrades. This is a definite must buy.

Project Snowblind is a first person shooter that takes place in the future (which gives it a very sci-fi aspect). You play as Nathan Frost, who gets severely injured and enhanced with bio-chemical upgrades during the surgery to save his life. The powers, such as ballistic shielding, invisibility, electric shock, and reflex boost are very cool and add a very fun twist into the game. Along with the powers you have a wide variety of weapons and grenade types that are really cool. The graphics and storyline are good and enemy and friendly AI are both pretty decent. There is a feature in the level design that I preferably liked, which is a marker that shows you where to go if you ever get lost. The game's downfall is that sometimes the levels would get annoying and it was difficult to switch between grenades and powers in the heat of battle. Besides that I was disappointed that the multiplayer aspect was limited to system link and XBOX Live; I would have enjoyed playing this game against my friends on a local connection. Overall this game really delivers a fun experience and I recommend a rent. I give it an 8, out of 10.
