To sum it up in a line, of all the games I have played on the PSP this is the worst one I encountered.

The worst part of this game has to be the sound. The music barely works and the sound effects and voices are not in sync half of the time. Best thing to do if you actually did rent this is to just turn off the music and maybe just keep the voice and sfx if anything. The gameplay is about the same as other PoP titles except for the messed up camera views. Another really anoying thing is the loading at bad times. You are fighting or jumping and you stop midway to load. This is really bad if you have to do another move right after. The loading times are also long. From inserting the game to actually playing it will take you about 2-3 min. If you are a BIG fan of the series you might want to rent it but otherwise I wouldn't recomend.

Port From Heck

First off I would like to say that this is purely a port of Prince of Persia 2 for the PS2 for anyone who didn't know. To me at least, Ubisoft tried to sell this as an entirely different game. The title and the box are completely different. It should be called "Prince of Persia (2) Again" not "Revelations", there is nothing revolutionary or new about it. Prince of Persia 2 on the PS2 was a good game, although it had it's shortcomings, but for some reason it just doesn't hold up on the PSP. The first thing you'll notice is it takes FOREVER for even just the title screen to load and then levels are even more mind numbing. You'll start off the game with some beautiful cut scenes that look like they are from the PS2 version (still beautiful) but none of the audio matched up. The syncing was way off which entirely ruined the cut scenes and made them unbearable to watch and confusing. Then you get to the first boss battle and you realize how little work was put into the control scheme. No time at all was used to fit the controls to the PSP. You do have 2 less shoulder buttons after all. Finally there is the game behind it all. I was never a fan of the move to an unnecessarily more grotesque version of the game and I still don't like it. The women are all dressed like whores for no reason and the violence has just become ridiculously over the top instead of interesting. The Prince is still acrobatic even if he doesn't have as many cool puzzles and interesting ways to show it off. The game's focus has been shifted more towards the fighting which just doesn't seem to flow as well on the PSP.

Overall this game was a disappointment. I expected them to at least change SOMETHING about the game instead of ripping me off of another $40 for a game I already had. If you've played the PS2 version then avoid this at all costs and if you haven't, do yourself a favor and pick up the PS2 version. It's cheaper by now anyways.
