This is my absolute favorite game ever. I must have played and beaten this game at least 5 times. I read recently that some people didn't like this game and I felt I should get on here and defend it. Okay, so it starts out a little slow. You start as a young native american guy, Tommy, who is tired of living on the reservation and wants to leave. He is trying to convince his girlfriend to leave as well, but she likes it there. Anyway, after about five minutes, the whole bar, which is where you start, goes to heII as it gets taken up by aliens. It starts out kinda bad because his grandfather is killed and his girlfriend is taken. Hey, you have to have something to search for, right? Okay, what I really like about this game is how innovative and original it is. It plays with the laws of physics and gravity and lets you experience all sorts of unusual environments. Also, after a certain amount of time, you don't officially die anymore. Instead, you go to the afterlife and talk to your grandfather and then you get to hunt spirits of the dishonored dead. That gives you back health and spirit health. What's more, after that, you learn how to spirit walk and your spirit can go places your body can't. It is just so cool. There are portals, puzzles, its in space, the rules of gravity are changeable so you have to think three-dimensionally. There are points where you get to fly ships around, things can move fast, or slow at times. The alien technology is awesome and the weapons are super cool. There are some BFG's that I love. There is some disturbing content, but ultimately it is worth it. And even though at times you think that everything is going to end horribly, it turns out okay in the end, and it does have a great ending. Also, I love how they keep showing you pieces of the original bar throughout the great big bio-mother ship. It sort of adds a bit of humor to the game while still grounding it somewhat. This is an awesome game and totally worth playing. Enjoy.
