Power Stone+PSP=win? well it would if there weren't 3 issues that make this game feel like a mess
Issue 1: Load times
Now there some PSP games that cannot help but have big load times that I can understand, what kill this for me Is you go into a fight, wait 30 sec for the fight to load then win that fight wait 30 sec for the next and keep on.
Issue 2:more Blocky then an 8 bit fighter!
Ok that an overstatement but it is blocky, I don't know if the D pad or button layout or if the fact the stick move too slow. but It feels delay and slow while the CPU player seems to have no issues sidestep everything you toss, blast and smash at them.
this is a real issue for a fighter game like this. top it off your battles become Hunt gems, use power Moves, hunt gems keep at it till you win. this is dishearting and become less and less of what power stone was about. crazy Item smashing combo using 4 man SMASH FEST that had a bit of skill and a ton of luck.
Issue 3: PSP items are just reskins
there Items in this game that have been added just for the PSP but there effects are no better or worst then the items you get normally in power stone 1 or 2 there pretty much reskins. I wouldn't mind if the PSP unlocks would of been recolors of faclo and his gang but reskins weapons are not something your add as the "GLORY" point
Overall if you can overlook the Load times, blocky movement, and the fact that the "collection" add on is just Dreamcast memory card mini games
then rent it, for me it a wasted of 2 weeks of a rent
hope Power stone 3 doesn't let me down if capcom really is working on it
