...This wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be. The only reason I put the game on hold was for nostalgia's sake, considering the only incarnations of the Power Rangers I ever knew were the Mighty Morphin' ones. I started a 1 Player game and found it to be so-so, but when I got a friend to join in and play 2 Player, I was instantly transported farther into nostalgia when I found the gameplay to be quite similar to the old NES TMNT games. Certainly this game will never compare to them, but a lot of similarities abound, enough to keep my friend and I entertained all the way to the end, a even though half of our entertainment came from mocking one element of the game or the other. I should also point out that my friend herself had never been a fan of the Power Rangers growing up, but she would request that we play some more throughout the week it took us to finish, going on a few hours at a time's gameplay each time we played. And she was more than overjoyed when we finally came to the level where she got to be the Pink Ranger from MMPR. And then, when we finally figured out how to choose who we wanted to play as, instead of playing as whatever the level chose for us. Yeah, there was one point at the beginning we had to restart because one of the badguys we were fighting suddenly froze and just stood there and would not die. But, in the end, it's quite fun once you get into it, and a good way to kill time. And yeah, in the beginning, a kid could easily get passed a lot. But it eventually does get challenging, especially when it comes to the extras you have to collect to unlock things, some of which where either completely not found, or couldn't be reached due to their difficult, challenging placement (and this is coming from two, 22-year-old seasoned gaming veterans, mind you.) Anyway, yeah, it's not the greatest game in the world, but it's not the worst. If you're looking for some time to kill with a friend, and/or for a little trip into nostalgia, give it a try.

The new Power Rangers game is good for younger kids, easy play and controls, but has some unfortunate bugs in the system. Often in levels where you need to get past all of the bad guys to move on some of them don't go away after they are beaten and even though you can not hurt them and viceversa you can not move on. You do have the option or restarting each level in the main menu, but for younger kids it can get frustrating. If not for this rather frequent bug in the game I would rate this a 7+ for kids under 10.

This game wasn't the most special game I've played but it was a pretty good one. The gameplay and graphics reminded me a lot of Viewtiful Joe, because of the cell shading and the fact that its a side scroller. After every set of levels is a zord battle which is just plain dumb. Its a mini-game that just involves either button mashing or hitting buttons in sequence. A few things that i had hoped to see that weren't there is the ability to morph, and the original green/white ranger(s) weren't there. It is Power Rangers Super LEGENDS, and the green and white rangers in my opinion were the most legendary. And it didn't have the original power rangers theme song. So I've come to the conclusion that this game is mostly for kids. If you're looking to play this game because you remember the very first power rangers and want to relive them, then this isn't for you, it deals with more of the newer rangers that today's youth has watched and know. Taking out the fact that this game doesn't deal much with the older power rangers and has lame zord battles, the actual game itself is pretty fun and easy, and you could always pick it up and play with a friend.
