Whoever thought of the concept behind this game is a genius. I had heard of Portal for a while now but I never thought it would be the type of game I would enjoy so I hadn't played it until now (I'm more into the Skyrim, Fallout, Assassins Creed type games), and it...was....amazing! The commentary in the game is hilarious and the puzzles get more and more challenging. A few times in the game once I completed a particular level that had me stumped I would feel so accomplished! The only downside is that the story line itself could have definitely been more thought out. A quarter of the way through the game you already know what's going to happen based on a few references made, so it seems like as much thought went into the puzzle process, the plot could have been made truly incredible if the same amount of time had gone into creating it. All around though I definitely recommend!
Portal 2 forces you to use your mind but also the world around you in critical ways pushing your mind to the maximum. The game has deep a storyline that keeps you on your A game to find out the next piece of the puzzle. Things like hidden easter eggs, insults from glados, Companion cubes, and witty humor keep the game nice and refreshing the whole way through. The finale (spoiler alert) of the turret opera as you blank blank blank blank blan blank is a real tear jerker but fight back the tears with "Gone'. Glados' song involving humor and storyline routes. The game was well thought out and a true masterpiece to play. It was like taking a long breath of fresh air for video games....... AMAZING!
