Short, fun, but still just as mindbending...

The second iteration of Valve's award winning puzzle FPS brings with it the same spatial physics air that the first fried peoples brains with back in 2007. At the start it looks like nothing more than a revamped portal, but it quickly becomes apparent that the story has center stage this time around. Clever characters, challenging puzzles, and a new Co-op mode to boot. All around the achievements aren't too difficult, though they are riddled with easter egg related goals. The story stops short though, even after a VERY climatic ending. trust me.. this one is winning awards this year. Too few of the puzzles pushed my logic beyond it's breaking point. The Co-op gives a little bit more lifespan to this lovely title, but it too falls short of expectations. IF DLC is introduced in the NEAR future unlike L4D, which was promised masses of DLC and never followed suit on consoles, this game could come to represent a new generation of co-op titles. A pack of challenge maps, a staple in the first, are sadly missing.
