First of all, I will admit that I'm 21 and playing pokemon since it first came out.
That being said, this is probally my favorite version to date of all the games.
It is always a little slower in the begining. Catching guys and leveling them up can be almost annoying after a while. However, with all the fresh new faces and ability to trade with people all over the world via Wi-Fi, it more than makes up for it. Don't like that guy you just caught? Put him up for trade and see if you can get that one that keeps running away from you.
To continue on the lines of catching guys, it was even more fun when I learned that I could "import" my guys from previous versions, so I wouldn't have to re-catch and re-level the same ones all over. I could even have my favorite legendary guys to face off against the elite 4!
Now, normally I would give this game a 10. However, there are a few bad apples out there who have been hacking the game, making it tough for hard working trainers like myself to enjoy the wireless battles accross the globe.
All in all, this is a fine addition to any poke-fan collection. I highly suggest having Wi-Fi setup for this game, but it isn't required.
For added fun, get the new pokemon for Wii and face off against people in stunning 3D.
