Pitfall: The Lost Expedition

BASIC CONTROLS
Control Stick Move around. Push lightly to walk, push all the way to run. (Gently push) Sneak (Tips: Some enemies can be avoided by sneaking past them!)
A Button Jump (press a second time to perform a double jump). A + B = Spin kick.
B Button Standard attack
Y Button Crouch. Y Button + Control Stick = Roll (Allows Harry to get through even the lowest underpass. It's also great for showing off at parties!) Y + B = Sweep kick.
Z Button (Tap) Snap camera to Harry's back. (Hold) Look around mode (Tip: Sometimes you'll need to look around for a clue!)
L Button Control the camera view
R Button Control the camera view
C Stick (With nothing equipped) Reach out to activate levers or grab items.
Start/Pause Pause/Harry's Heroic Handbook (Access the Options Menu, your inventory and much more!)

HARRY'S GEAR
Control Pad Hold = Assign an item to the Control Pad. After you press and hold a direction on the Control Pad, a sub-menu with all of Harry's gear will be displayed. Highlight an item for Harry to use, and push the A button to select it. That item will be assigned to the direction on the Control Pad that was held down. Tap = Equip/Unequip an assigned item for Harry to use. Even when an item is in Harry's hands, he can automatically switch to another item by pressing any of the other three directions on the Control Pad.
C Stick Direct control over Harry's gear. When Harry needs the right tool for the job, he'll have direct control over what he's holding! For some of the items, you'll need to use the Control Stick.

SLING
Control Stick Move the aiming reticule
L Button (while aiming) Evasive dodge left
R Button (while aiming) Evasive dodge left
C Stick Up/Down = Fire shot

TNT
Control Stick Move the aiming reticule (with the C Stick held down)
L Button (while aiming) Evasive dodge left
R Button (while aiming) Evasive dodge left
C Stick Hold Up then push Down = Aiming toss (aim with the Control Stick). Tap Up = Fling TNT (Harry will toss the TNT in the direction he's facing).

CANTEEN
C Stick Hold Up = Drink from canteen (replenishes health). Hold Down = Fills canteen with water (when in a healing fountain).

TORCH
C Stick Moves torch around in any direction

SHIELD
B Button Charge attack with the shield
C Stick Up = Harry raises the shield over his head (protects from overhead attacks).

PICKAXES
Control Stick Climb with the pickaxes (when on icy walls & crystal walls). Works going up, down, left or right. When climbing with the pickaxes, use both the Control Stick and C Stick in succession.
C Stick Climb with the pickaxes (when on icy walls & crystal walls). Works going up, down, left or right. When climbing with the pickaxes, use both the Control Stick and C Stick in succession. (360 Degrees on C Stick) Spin attack (when on the ground.) Spin attack for 5 or 6 seconds until dizzy.

RAFT
Control Stick Paddle with the left hand. Up on Control Stick + Up on C Stick = Paddle forward. Down on Control Stick + Down on C Stick = Paddle backward. Paddling with one hand will rotate your raft. Experiment with the Control Stick / C Stick in combination. You'll get the hang of it.
C Stick Paddle with the right hand.

GAS MASK
C Stick Up = Harry protects face from poisonous dangers

VINE SWINGING
Control Stick Left/Right = Similar to the L/R buttons and changes the direction of Harry's momentum. Up/Down = Increases/Decreases Harry's momentum as he swings on the vine. (Timing is important!)
L Button Changes the direction Harry faces while on the vine.
R Button Changes the direction Harry faces while on the vine.
C Stick Up/Down = Harry will climb up or down on the vine and stop his swinging momentum

HARRY'S HEROIC ACTIONS
A Button A, A + B = Smash Strike while in the air (A downward attack that'll squash even the biggest bug)
B Button B + A Button = Rising Strike (An upward attack that'll save Harry when he's backed into a corner)
X Button Heroic Dash (A speed boost that allows Harry to zip past danger and prevents him from getting a hotfoot)
