Teen/Adult Difficulty: Medium
Pre-Teen Difficulty: Very Hard
Storyline Immersion: Good
Gameplay: Mediocre
Graphics: Average
Replay Value: Low
Verdict: Rental
The game does a decent job in immersing you in the movie experiance. The cutscenes are amusing and interesting and you feel like you are following along in the plot.
The control scheme could have been tightened up quite a bit. You usually end up just swinging the wii remote like a 2 year old on Jolt cola.
The graphics are ok for the Wii and don't detract too much from the experiance but they could have definately been cleaned up a little.
All in all the gameplay is fun but can become repetitive and monotonous.
Perhaps the biggest shortcoming in this game is the lack of ability to lower the difficulty level. Since this is a movie port, it should also cater to the pre-teen crowd. Unfortunately, it is too difficult for younger audiences who won't make it past the first few levels and will quickly become frustrated with the gameplay.
Couple this with the fact that the game really isn't sophisticated enough for an adult gaming audience and you end up with a game that is in a grey zone of mediocraty.
All in all there are much better looking games and playing games on the Wii, but you have to remember that this is a movie port so you have to rate it differently then a dedicated game. They are selling you the experiance of reenacting your favorite movie and for that it's worth a rental.
