Lets start this out fast, I will give you pros, and cons, then if you still care, my opinion.

Pros: The game graphics are amazing, when he walks his dreads sway, and they captured his stance. The voice overs, although not Johnny Depp, you would never know. The game play isn't overly hard, and fairly realistic, you can kill an enemy with a single hit. The way you interact with your environment is cool, lot of sticking swords in things and swinging across. And the new duel challenge is lot of fun!

Cons: The replay value may suffer due to the fact that the levels are lot like running down a hallway, (not lot of branching off). When on 2 people, and one is the computer, the computer takes lot of damage and tends to get you in more trouble then they are worth. Other than that I dont have lot of complaints.

I believe this to be a great game, as a one or two times through kinda thing, i couldn't see it as a game i would buy just due to the fact that there isn't much to redo if you were to start over, its going to be the same thing.

Disney put out a really good game. The graphics and multiple play of different characters made the game fun and consistently interesting. The dueling sequences were also a lot of fun and challenging. However I would have preferred a little more room for creativity within the dueling sequences...more power moves and interactive objects to use within the fight. Overall of enjoyable game.

Okay first off I want you to know that I love the pirate movies. They are great fun and I was actually looking forward to playing the game. Okay now for the review.

Graphics- To put it simply they rock. The graphics are probably the best thing about the game. The character models look superb and when you look at the water and the ships you will be awe struck.

Sound- The sound track is ripped right from the movies. It definitely gives you that Pirate vibe that it should. The music is a great success.

Gameplay- Okay this is where the game takes a steep nose-dive in quality. Remember the great combo systems from LOTR movie games? Well you are not getting anything like that here. The combat consists of tapping A until you stun your enemy where you decide which final move to use. The boss fights are in dual form. The boss fights are hard to explain how the combat works. Lets just say its kind of fun at first then it gets really old. You do get some ranged weapons but unless you stand completely still you will never hit anybody.

WTH moments- when you fall into slightly deep still water you die. I am a freaking pirate for Pete’s sake! I should be able to freaking swim!

Overall- If you love pirates than you are going to rent this regardless of what I say, but please don’t buy it. It is only about five to seven hours long and has no real replay value. Achievement points are easy to get for you gamerscore boosters out there. This game has the look of a great pirate game, but fails to keep it fresh and fun through out the course of the game. A button does not equal great combat system.
