After playing countless pinball games on various systems, I have finally found the promised land! Real tables (and some real classics!) with on spot gameplay and sounds! The only ding is the limitation of the system it's on and screen size, I'm not complaining as I bought it and the Wii version! If you love pinball this is the game to get, and is perfect companion to the Wii version for playing on the go!

I must begin by saying I played all of these games back in the day. My favorite was Funhouse. I have a scar on my hand still from slamming the plunger with my palm on Black Knight 2000 back in 1984. This game is true to life on the look, sounds and game-play of each and every machine. The negative aspects, at least for the PSP, are the screen angles and camera views. If you choose to see the whole screen at once, everything is too small. If you choose to change to one of the four different camera views, you can't see your ball and flippers at the same time. If you play pinball in real life, and you are any good, you know this is a must. The camera chases the ball and you see your shot at the exact moment you have to make it. For that reason, and that reason alone, I will never buy this game. In fact, I played the challenges, beat them, and sent it back. I have played some online pinball that has stopping and starting glitches, this one is pretty seamless. Just hard to follow on the PSP. I give it a Solid 7. Aloha!

Yet another Pinball game this year

Having awoken from my nightmare that was Dream Pinball, I thought perhaps the second silverball game of the year might do this pre-video game tribute to the master of the bumpers Williams some justice.
I found a game sorely lacking. I did like the control scheme of the PSP. The shoulder buttons were the flippers. (Ok they responded well.) I did like the use of the direction pad to simulate bumping the table. But the graphics of the actual table were sorely lacking. The pinball (which is the main focal point of game play) looked like the video pinball games I played years ago. Animated balls that lacked any realism. There was hardly any feel of playing pinball. Sure the tables looked like the classic Williams machines but that's where it ended.
To be quite honest I enjoyed playing Pokemon Pinball on the Gameboy SP much more then I did playing this game.

My advice....go to an arcade and play the real Williams tables and rent some other title.

Dave
