A game that represents my generation of gaming.

I'm quite happy I rented this game. The pinball tables really represent a place in time where a pinball machine got you even closer to your friends, imagine all the pizza and soda you consumed back then and paid for it in later life ha! Generally , all of the tables are represented in an accurate and faithful way and presents crystal clear audio. All of the original speech calls sound effects are present, although its kind of hard to get a right mixture of music versus background sound effects. The ball rolling around sounds kind of cool. People with Mono TV's might not be able to hear this sound as well as those who have stereo TV's but its a cool nostalgic sound effect nonetheless. In terms of actual game play, It might look okay on a CRT Television , but might not look so good on your LCD television unless you have a component cable. Jagged edges in the graphics and bad camera angles can really tick one off in this game, especially in multiball. It might frustrate those with smaller TV's causing them to sit up close the whole time to see whats going on. What I don't understand is the ball falling off the table feature. Did the programmers really not have time to fix the chances of this happening and included this feature? While a majority of the time it does not happen, right when you least it expect it, boom! (Replacing ball... as it says on the screen) They also managed to add a call attendant feature. Its for when your ball gets stuck on the table, it resets the position so you can keep playing. Um, the arcades I went to as a kid didn't have such feature and slightly takes away the nostalgic experience this game has. Overall its a great game, though its better played with friends, because you will be completing the single player objectives in no time, and will leave you hungry for more pinball action.
