Pikmin for Wii Reviews by Gamers

The original Pikmin for Gamecube is one of my favorite games of all time. Pikmin 2 was even better. The Wii port of Pikmin, however, leaves something to be desired.

The controls are much more difficult. The camera is terribly difficult to control, and organizing and throwing your Pikmin is made more difficult by the point-and-click Wiimote.

I didn't play the whole way through, but it appears there is no new content in the game. If there is, it isn't worth suffering rough controls to slog through a game you probably have already played.

Your Wii plays Gamecube games. If you have a choice, hunt down the GC version and play it.

I know many people rave about this game. Unfortunately it falls into the same trap as 99% of the games on the market. It starts off fun but shortly devolves into repeating the same tasks over and over and over and over again. The puzzle part gets bogged down in the constant maintenance of the 3 core tasks.

I'm sorry, it was cute for a couple of hours, but beyond that just boring.
