Having played Phantasy Star Portable first I needed to know what happened leading up to it. When I started playing this game everything seemed so familiar, making the game much easier. A lot of the monsters and seed forms were the same so I knew how to beat them making that a lot less irritating. I love how while playing the game unlike Phantasy Star Portable you can walk around the environment freely, so you could get a feel as to how the locations look. I give this game a ten.

P.S. I also love the graphics.

I've played the game before (about two years ago) and loved it. I applied to Gamefly so i could rent it again. I never received it but i still give this game a great rating. If you like reaal time RPG's like Kingdom Hearts then you will ike this game. I also recommend Rogue Galaxy.

Unlike those who appear so disappointed with PSU, I'm thoroughly satisfied. I wasn't expecting an epic, original storyline so that may be why I enjoy it a little more than most. I personally loathe anime and, as an ex-anime fan, I don't feel that the story mode is overwhelmingly anime-like.

When you compare PSU to PSO, the only things that are really in common are the three main races, some of the items, and most of the techniques(TECHNICs). I like to think that PSU is more like the story-heavy love-child of PSO and the Phantasy Star games.

Overall, I have no problems... other than the way the Chapters are set up like episodes of a TV series. That's only a minor annoyance. I don't let the small things affect my feelings toward the game as a whole.
