Persona 4 for PlayStation 2 Reviews by Gamers

I don't know why game developers think more dialog is better, no matter how inane it is. Fortunately my friends in the real world have more interesting stuff to say, or else they wouldn't be my friends. The dialog on this game is endless, and it is not possible to page through it except one screen at a time.

The game froze several times (more paging through boring dialog, this time dialog I had already heard). It took me a couple of hours to get to the first battle, what with all the dialog and freezing. Finally I gave up. The fighting engine seemed interesting, but the game just didn't work.

BTW there is a fair amount of profanity in the dialog. That doesn't bother me, but it strikes a false note in a game aimed at a younger crowd.

I found none of the elemints that give this game a mature rating. When a game rating is listed as "mature" I expect it to be mature! This game was filled with mostly dialog and lack of user interface other than to push next for the "next" bit of chatter. Where is the intrigue, the actual "playing" of this game? I am very disappointed.
