A "Resort" that should go out of business

It's nice to see a good selection of constructive games for the Wii that encourage taking care of people and/or animals. Doing the right thing can also be the fun thing.
Okay, enough faint praise. Paws and Claws: Pet Resort is one bland game. You play as either a boy or a girl and your task is to take care of animals, starting off with hamsters, gerbils, rabbits, and other rodents. Over time, your business can grow to include birds, horses, cats and dogs.
Clients will show up during the day and let you take care of their pets for anywhere between 2 to 7 days.
To do that, you have to perform a set of tasks for each animal: you will have to massage it, brush it, feed it food and treats, play with it and clean up after it. Each of these tasks is a mini game that has you using simple motions of the Wiimote.
Problem is, you'll have to do this set of tasks twice a day for each and every animal. In a very short time, you'll be doing this same set of tasks eight times a day, every day. Paws and Claws: Pet Resort becomes more of a chore than a game.
Making things worse are stiff controls that get almost unresponsive in the "Teach Tricks" mini game.
You can try to break the rut by going into town and talking with the mayor. But she is there just to make you do those same tasks over and over again so you can expand your business or upgrade your buildings (the upgrades don't do anything at all).
If you do a good job of caring for the animal, the client will be happy and pay you lots of money - money you can spend to buy food, treats, clothing (for your character) and things for the pens your pets stay in.
Then more clients show up and the process repeats over again - and again and again.
Unless you really love caring for animals by doing a few tasks hundreds of times over, stay far away from Paws and Claws: Pet Resort.
