I knew it was a Pac Man title, and I wasn't expecting something amazing. I played Pac Man World 1 on the PS2, and it was fun. Not inspired, but solid 3D platforming fun. I was expecting more of the same. All I wanted was a nice game I could play for a week or two during my long commute to and from work.
But it just sucked too much. The controls are slightly mushy, the graphics are PS1-era, and, most shameful of all, the levels are terrible. They are boring, repetitive, and largely incomprehensible. A platform game is all about its levels, and this one's levels are junk. What, did they fire the guy who did the decent levels in the first game? Is the PSP unable to handle good levels? I don't know, but I was disappointed, and I wasn't expecting much to begin with.
