If you have played overlord you either loved it or hated it. Overlord II does nothing really to change the haters. If you haven't played Overlord before its basically is about a evil guy who runs around and kills or enslaves everything cute and fluffy with the help of his evil minions. Pros: -Funny game -not to hard to get but not easy to beat either -has a mounting ability for the minions -ability to power up weapons, armor and magic -LONG
Cons: the camera gets a little frustrating at times Bad targeting system gets repetitive after awhile
But overall you should at least give this game a try and if you are an Overlord fan then you should probably buy the game.
This game was better than the 1st overloard.
The graphics were good, could of been better/more realistic, however
in this type of game it was about as good as it can get.
The fact that you now have control of more minions and there are
Alot more missions this game keeps you interactive with the storyline, as well as allows you the freedom to move about in
ways that does not pin you down to the chore of step 1 step 2 step 3
you can mix it up and move from region to region smoothly
and revisit those regions you've previously visited which is an aspect
of the game I really enjoyed.
over all i gave this game a 9 out of 10
it's not the perfect game but really close.

Overlord 2 is much like the 1st. I was going to skip this title after IGN gave it a horrible review in the 60's, but that was BS. This game is a solid 8 and is very fun.
Some of the positives: It is a solid upgrade in some of the playability areas. You don't just 'lose' minions because they're too stupid to follow you. The graphics have been slightly updated to be less boxy. And overall, if you liked the 1st, this is more of the same.
Unfortunately, it does not do a good enough job of trying to add new humor content. Aside from the 2 times the minions dress up as humans and break out into song, i felt like there was nothing new in the jokes dept, which was quite sad, because the real appeal to Overlord is it's character. Don't get me wrong, you'll still get a good laugh out of this game and the minions come off as cute evil sesame street characters, which has a certain appeal, but It definitely lost the "wow this is REALLY creative" aspect.....except for the songs, which i laughed at.
In comparison to the 1st, I felt this one was FAR too linear, you're almost handed the upgrades on a silver platter, and ultimately it feels too short. Overlord is a game that would definitely benefit from a more 'sandbox' type of feel, instead of linear map after linear map, which is every single map on Overlord 2.
Being able to upgrade more things is a nice touch, as is the ability to resurrect minions. I felt that the devs keep missing the mark with the mistresses though. There should be a benefit to buying them stuff. I also thought the spell selection was a wee bit limited.
Overall though, i'd much rather recommend this for PC, as it looks better, plays smoother and the camera isn't as awkward.
