Ok, I see that most the reviews are trashing this game but in all honestly, this game is good. This is a game that relives the old classic arcade racing game where you just take a handle of the car and drive to the finish. There are no big crashes like in Burnout, FlatOut; no big simulation like Grant Turismo, but it has those long scenic tracks where the goal is the beat the time and advance to the next stage.
For old school gamers (mid/upper 20s) will surely love this game as it does bring back memories of the game arcades.

But I do have to say, after a while it does get a bit repetitive. It's a good rental for a day or two.

It's Just Fun

This game answers the question...Why can't they just make a driving game that's fun??? The only real frustration came from something wacky w/ the girlfriend mode. Even though I averaged an A, it wouldn't unlock the next girl. I ended up using a cheat code to unlock it.

Other than that, the graphics are gorgeous, the drifting is awesome, and the races give enough challenge to require effort without being too hard to cause nothing but frustration. I guess the only things that I could ask for are better engine audio and a pure drifting mode.

Sega's Old School Classic

I just bought a copy of this game, because I played OutRun 2 originally on the Sega and in the arcades. This game is actually OutRun 2 revamped for multiple systems. Being a longtime fan of OutRun, I still have the original Outrun games on my Sega Master System and Genesis. Kudos to Sega for reviving a classic. If you are a fan of a classic Sega franchise, you can't go wrong with this game.
