Whatever Home Depot paid to get on this game - I say was not worth it. And whatever Majesco paid to get the song “Our House” was also not worth it.
Our House: Party is a mini game compilation with 30 games (which is good) about chores like mowing the lawn, digging a hole and moving furniture (which is not fun at all. What’s next? Games about washing dishes, doing the laundry and taking out the trash?)
The Game Modes are the normal for this genre. The first Mode has you and three other opponents (human and/or AI controlled) taking turns renovating their house. Each turn has you shopping at Home Depot and taking on a series of mini games. The winner gets the most bolts to use to buy more things at the Home Depot and their house gets the greatest value increase, the second placed player gets the second amount of bolts and increase in home value and so on. Then, players go to the next round and repeat it again - and again - and again. (Games can last for over 60 turns.)
The second mode lets you play any one of the games individually.
Finally, you can go online to “Share” a game with someone.
But with the aforementioned boring mini games; the really bad, unavoidable cut scenes and a AI that’s really tough to beat, this compilation loses a lot of it’s luster very quickly. It took only two turns for me to completely lose interest.
With this game and their Go Play franchise, Majesco is doing to mini game compilations what Data Design Interactive does to racers - ruins it for Wii owners.
I say don’t bother with Our House: Party. It’s not worth your time or money. SKIP IT.
