Operation Flashpoint: Elite for Xbox

Atari's Operation Flashpoint puts you on the battlefield and in the war room. Not only will you lead squads and soldiers of all varieties, but you will also command military and civilian vehicles. It is 1985 and the Cold War draws to a close. Mikhail Gorbachev has come to power in the U.S.S.R. and has implemented his policies glasnost and perestroika. But soon Soviet rebels seek to overthrow Gorbachev's new progressive government. Assisting Gorbachev, the U.S. military activates Operation Flashpoint and neighboring U.S. Forces lead an attack to stop the old Soviet guard. Can you stop the rebels and help secure the end of the Cold War? In mission-based campaigns and stand alone single missions, you will decide the fate of nations.

This game is a true military simulation. It is made for dihard realism. In fact I am surprised that they put it on xbox. It is good looking for the sheer size of the game but I think the game is much better suited for the pc. I have both versions and truely like it better on pc. It was a mistake to ...more
