Not a Run N' Gun Clone.

I was a bit thrown off by the name and actually didn't even consider renting this game, but decided to anyways until the release of some other titles. To say the least, i'm impressed. I never read any reviews and i'm glad I didn't. Most reviews i've read were from people who are too used to the run n' gun games that require no real IQ. Don't get me wrong, those games are great, but anyone who ever wants a real challenge will enjoy a title like this. The challenge is not to see how many kills you can get so that you can be a better bragger to your friends, it's to complete the mission.
I was impressed with the realism of the bullet trajectory. The AI was a bit lacking but overall not to bad. The movement was also a little lacking and more time consuming than expected RL desired effect.
Overall, I like this title and am really impressed.
If you prefer the mindless run n' gun type games, play, rent, or buy those titles, but don't expect OF: Dragon Rising to be another mindless clone of COD or CounterStrike. If you like the nube tubes and nade spamming, this is not for you. You will not get countless reloads. You're going to have to listen and pay attention. You're not going to be able to kill everything you see and kills aren't going to come easy. You will have orders and you will have to follow them. You will need patience and understanding. Sorry bunnyhoppers!!
Bravo inbound on AO. Prepare for firefight landing. How Copy?
