This is an overall great game and i don't know why people trash it so much I played a Demo on an OXM magazine disc and I loved the game after i finished the demo I sat There thinking "I want more!" The next day I i went to EB Games and bought this game it is amazing. Yeah its diferent and outside the box butt that can be a good thing. You start out in control of an elite squad of SAS and you fight the nazis. Yeah it has werewolves, vampires ect. ect. but it is very good. The camera is hard to control but after the first mission you get used to it and the music gets anoying butt you can just burn a cd and put it on Your xbox and listen to some other music if you want i realy liked this game and I recomend that you rent it and then if you like it you can buy it it is worth the money.

I liked the strategy. Its only good for 1 time play. If it did not take so long to load it would be a keeper.

BUY THE GUIDE!

This is one of the few games where I can honestly say that buying the guide is worth it. There are so many little things about this game that you simply wouldn't know without the guide, and frankly, it simply isn't as much fun without it. First of all, there are secret weapons in about every other mission, and the only way to find them is by looting the corpses of your foes...something that isn't always practical in most missions. Second, the characters themselves are based off of other characters from classic "horror" literature. And finally, the game throws such overwhelming forces at you that frankly, if you don't know they're coming, you simply CAN'T be prepared for them. The guide solves all of these problems while being funny and well-written at the same time. Worth the twenty bucks.

Okay, now that I'm done reviewing the GUIDE for the game, let's get on to the game itself. Let me start with the positives: The voice-acting is nice, and the way the game weaves history throughout this fantasy is very well-done. You'll actually learn something by playing this game. Finally, the concept for the game itself is fresh, which is probably what led people to play it in the first place and is certainly all that kept me grinding through to the last levels.

Are you ready for the BAD parts? There's a lot. The graphics are poor, and that's being nice. The cover mechanic is inconsistent and hard to work to your advantage. The game presents a lot of weapons to use, but by the last half of the game, you'll be relying primarily on bazookas and heavy-hitting MS (magic) attacks. Missions take a long time to complete (at least an hour) and there's no checkpoint system or mid-mission saves, so if you goof up at the end you have to start all over. Despite having a character who can revive dead allies, if one of your main characters dies you can't revive them...you fail the mission.

All in all, this game had a lot of potential and fell short. It's only enjoyable with the guide.
