Grizzly bear Boog (Martin Lawrence) has it made. He's enjoying the life of a pampered household pet, living in the garage of park ranger Beth (Debra Messing), who's raised him since he was a cub. On top of his cushy home, Boog also has a cushy job, starring in his hometown's nature show. But all that changes when Boog meets Elliot (Ashton Kutcher), a wise-cracking wild mule deer who's strapped to the truck of hunter Shaw (Gary Sinese). Boog winds up freeing Elliot, who insists on returning the favor and freeing Boog from his "horrible" captive existence. Now the two clueless companions are loose in the wild, with no survival instincts and no time - only a couple days - before open season begins and Shaw comes after them.
