When legendary independent film director Jim Jarmusch tells a vampire story, you can bet it's not going to be Twilight. In place of horror (or teenage sentimentality), Jarmusch's undead are cultured sophisticates, too stylish and awesome for the mortals that surround them. Think 1000-year-old hipsters. Only Lovers Left Alive's main vampire is Adam (Tom Hiddleston), a musician from Detroit. He collects vintage guitars and talks to his only love, Eve (the amazing Tilda Swinton), a fellow vampire who lives in Tangiers. When she visits, the pair haunts Detroit and we explore their complicated, nearly eternal love affair. It's a new take on vampire lore and a must-see flick for fans of indie films.
