Omerta: City of Gangsters for Xbox 360 Reviews by Gamers

This has been in my GameQ for a month, and i played this for 20 minutes and could not stand any more. Game developers should have enough knowledge of how awful something is. Thats why they hire game testers. I feel bad for anyone involved in making this.

My first review. I naturally compare this game to X-Com Enemy Unknown. The combat is good enough. The only gripe there is the available cover. Plenty looks available. But unlike X-Com walls and other obvious cover is NOT cover. However the building and resources aspect of this game is much deeper than X-Com. Plenty of creative ways to generate income. Unfortunately the income is mostly spent on generating new ways to get income instead of say, weapons. The plot is also much better driven than X-Com. You are a gangster building an empire. And the game does a great job of making you feel like that's what your doing. So if you're looking to build a mob empire this is the game for you. If you'd like to focus more on strategic combat...stick with X-Com.
