This game is the best game I've ever played in my life because of these reasons:
1) The graphics are amazing, unlike anything you've ever seen before. It is as if someone painted the characters and the scenery.
2) The story is complex. Just when you expect the story to be simply done and over, it unfolds a new chapter. The story will give you goosebumps, especially if you're a lover of Japanese culture or Shintoism.
3) The gameplay is unlike anything you've ever experienced before. Instead of blindly slashing away or using spells in hopes to disable your foe, you can use weapons with a combination of a PAINTBRUSH to battle. You acquire new "techniques" for the paintbrush throughout the game, solving puzzles, beating foes, and restoring good to the cursed land with the power of your paint brush that you can make strokes with. It makes you feel as if you are actually Amaterasu, the wolf that you control in the game.
4) The music and style. The soundtrack consists of traditional Japanese instruments, and many of the areas in the game are like walking through Japan in its older ages. Simply beautiful.
If you love games filled with art, definitely give this game at least ONE try. You will not regret it.
