Do you LOVE anime? Then maybe you'll like this. I don't. But if you can get past that, the game controls are clunky, the game tries to be cute by talking to you, the player, and it's filled with cheap thrills that would be great if you're 17, but not so much if you're older. The combat is not smooth and you constantly have to "recharge" your sword which looks a lot like you're throwing one off. If you really enjoyed the last one, then this one is better than that. You get to have two swords at once. Otherwise, pass it up.

I`ve beaten the first and now I`ve played and beaten the second and I loved it the first was great but there were a few things I didn`t like about it but the second takes all the things I didn`t like and got rid of `em and took everything I loved and made it way better. First off the free-roam on the first was the thing I disliked the most but they completely got rid of it and at firsts I didn`t like that but it is actually way better without free-roam it makes things a lot more fast paced, another thing they improved was the story line on the first it basically told you what`s going on and that`s it but on this one the story is more in depth and it let`s you get more attached to the characters. the combat has also improved now when you buy another katana you can switch to your old or new one at any time during any level, and this time around you don`t have to pay an entree fee for every assassination so which gets rid of a giant hassle. tho only complaints I have are the games to short, the camera is still really bad, and the last boss was a little to easy but aside from those cons the game is great definitely worth renting and and I know I will buy it soon. If I could put a decimal in my rating it would be 8.6 so try this game you wont be disappointed.

Not as good as the first. The battles are either too easy or frustratingly difficult (usually because of unblock able kill shots.) Also, Instead of building upon the sand box theme, the developer decides to do away with it altogether instead adding a bunch on 80's style mini-games, only a couple of which are fun. There are strange phases where the player is required to navigate a street or road with with no gameplay element at all, just walking along with nothing to do except get to the goal, or driving your bike (in virtually the only sequence involving your beloved frankenbike) down the road to the next sequence with no enemies or obstacles. While the cinematics are (of course) hilarious and clever, and there are some improvements on weaponry, this is not really enough to make this a worthy follow up.
