This game, simply put, is a flash in the pan kind of title, meaning that its great just after you fire it up and then for a few days afterwards, once your past that stage, your probably not going to be playing this game very often if at all. When I first got this game I loved it. I thought it looked great, and played just like the originals but with more features. Unfortunately, today, I don't play it at all, I rarely even feed and water my pets and never take part in competitions or go on walks just because there's absolutely no want to. With titles such as SSFF 4, SF643D, LoZ OoT 3D and more, this game is a definite pass.
Graphics: 9/10 This game looks great, so does the 3D. It works perfectly.
Gameplay: 4/10 Tedious, mind numbing, boring. This about sums up the gameplay of Nintendogs + Cats.
Story: NA/10 There is no story. You take care of dogs and cats. That is it.
Content: 2/10 This is just like the old games. There is nothing groundbreaking or huge. There ARE cats, but they are largely uninteresting compared to the dogs, who are also uninteresting.
Final comments: Not worth even renting. After a few days you will not play this game at all. Do yourself a favor, do not get this game.

this game is a ok game if this is the first time you have played it, but if you have ever played it from the original ds then i wouldn't bother with it, as far as i could tell there is almost no difference to this game. there are a few things that take advantage of the 3ds features but besides that its the same game wrapped in 3d graphics. don't get me wrong this game isn't bad but its not worth a second run though. but there is lots to do with your dog for playing with them or cleaning them or walking and compitions, and anyone that likes pet games will love this.
