The best way to describe this game is a mix between God of War for Playstation and Ninja Gaiden. With a mix of standard 3rd person view and Quick Time Events it made for a good gaming experience.

When playing this game take this into consideration, God of War and Ninja Gaiden should be flattered by the immitation this game presents. However that does not mean that you are playing the same caliber of game. While Ninja Blade does a good job of taking from other games successes, it does not create the same thrills as the fore-mentioned games.

The gameplay while in normal slash mode is good, it creates a good balance of enemies and the need to use the different swords, which you don't have to find at all. All three swords are given to you in the first level. It's definately satisfying to use your wire swords to spit back an enemy projectile, then quickly switch to the normal sword to take out nearby enemies.

The QTE are something different altogether. It is similar to god of war in that the button presses allow you to perform finishing moves in an elaborate fasion, but different in that there are extended events that are difficult and stunning to watch. Taking out a huge spider with a wrecking ball in the first level definately made me a bit giddy.

To sum up, don't expect anything spectacular from this game. It's definately worth renting for a week (It's not a long game) just to see what its all about. The story line is not something to write home about but be prepared for some awsome action to make up for it!

I really liked this game, but it also had its fallbacks.

I like how its mixed with Devil May Cry, and God of War, the quick time events are great, it keeps me wanting for more.

It had its glitches, and repetitive gameplay, you can upgrade your weapons, as you upgrade they change in look and give you more moves. Every boss battle was fun. Like every other game it has its formula of attacking, and at the end you can get quicktime events, which are fun.

I don't think this game is worth to buy, but for rent [Only buy if you want to keep on playing, and heighten your leaderboard stuff]

I beat this game in 5 or so hours, so it's around 5 hours of gameplay

Game had tremendous potential to be almost as good as Ninja Gaiden 2 in its constant action and weapon upgrades. However, the inability to save within levels makes it frustrating when one has to start from the beginning of the level if time doesn't permit a playthrough.
