If you've not seen this movie yet, save your Q-Time. There are better UMD movies out there. Looking for a tongue in cheek fantasy comedy? Princess Bride was a great flick. Something animated? Steamboy and Heavy Metal were better. A movie that's slightly gothic with some musical numbers? Labyrinth is better than this by a long shot. I GUARANTEE that ANYBODY who doesn't already wear Nightmare Before Christmas apparel every day like it was a mandate from God will enjoy the above movies more than this one.

The movie itself was O.K. for a Disney flick (about a 5 or a 6) but by no means does it deserve the rating it has. Chances are all 100+ other votes besides mine were cast by the pre-teen/teenage goth crowd who worship Tim Burton as a god, but, as many critics will tell you, a cult following does not a good movie make. If you're reading this and you too think the average score this movie got is WAY too misleading for the average moviegoer, do everybody a favor and vote this movie a "1" to offset the flood of goth children.
