I really had high hopes for this game to be something my toddler would enjoy. Unfortunately, I couldn't stand dealing with the overly sensitive menu controls long enough to find out. Kinect controls can be frustrating even on good games. On this one, they're Horrible! I can't even believe this game was tested before putting it on the market. The menus are so sensitive I could not control them at all, it either spun wildly thru the menu and chose something I didn't want at all or it didn't respond at all. And to add insult to injury, when I just gave up and danced with my daughter to "Alouette" of all things!, Dora would not stop yammering on with her "coaching". "move to the left blue player. Step back purple player. If you want to play dance in front of the kinetic sensor and raise your right arm" on and on and on, even after I managed to turn Coaching off in the options, which took way too many tries to get to while my daughter threw herself in the floor and cried because she wanted to play. An exercise in frustration. Back to the mailbox it goes!
Ok it recognizes the furniture and Dora yells player move forward repeatedly throughout the whole song. You would think it would stop at some point and realize there is only one player? Very annoying. The controls are way to sensitive and my grand daughter, who is two, has trouble with this. I guess it wasn't worth their trouble to fix the bugs? I have dance central and I does great so it not a calibration issue. It does not even appear to me that they even tested this before they put it out. I wont be buying this one.
