Every night has a soundtrack. And for Nick and Norah on a night of infinite possibilities, their playlist could hold just about anything. Nick (Michael Cera) is a guitar player who just got dumped. Two days after the breakup, Nick's ex shows up at his gig with a new guy. Nora (Kat Denning) is that great girl who somehow always seems to be alone. When a catty friend comments about it, Nora decides to do something. She finds a random guy in the crowd and asks him to be her boyfriend for five minutes. That guy is Nick. The two share a kiss that sparks a night of music and magic in this movie about what happens when you take your average first date, then put it on shuffle.
