Need for Speed: Underground 2 for PlayStation 2 Reviews by Gamers

Need for speed underground 2 is one of the best racing games for the playstation 2. This game features something that was never used in previous titles, that is the "world" feature. I enjoyed this game as I drifted around all the tight corners, barely missing the cars. Even though i have a bias towards 1st person shooter games i really enjoy racing games too! This version of need for speed incorporates one of the best engines for real world driving. I read in a previous review that the steering in this game was terrible. And with that I ask, how you ever tried to steer at 120 + miles per hour? That, if anything, increases the realistic effect of this game. Also this game is long and challenging, which makes it fun to play. Also more mods such as "lambo doors" (my favorite) and a System in tha trunk. Accessories in this game have increased also. The only thing that i didn't like about it was (dare I say it) the SUV's. Wow....The handling on these are just terrible, along with the speed. I know the concept of it is great, but they could of done a little better in making them more fun. Don't get me wrong, i have a Caddy, but all I use it for would be looks. Also the way that you mod your car has changed for the worse. In underground 1 the car wasn't on a gigantic turn table. But other that those cons listed above, this game rocks. Rent it and see for yourself. (game rate 8 = very good)

Unlike most racers, this one is fun single player for hours on end. With more customizing options, I spent a 1/3 of my play time trickin' out my ride. And the races themselves are set at the perfect difficulty levels...not too easy, not too hard. The controls are user friendly and the graphics are astounding. Do yourself a favor though: turn off the music and through in your music into your stereo.
