Beautiful, but somewhat like a cracked mirror.

NFS: The Run is honestly a beautiful game. Phenomenal cars, challenging tracks and opponents, and so much more. However, I had two simple and all-too-common issues that tested my patience.
The first of these issues is the near constant tendency for a car to sway or lean left or right and not give to your adjustments until slinging the car around or skidding your tires. I tried different vehicles and tracks to see if it were just one or two cars but unfortunately, the issue persisted. An issue made only worse if you stray from the paved road and even skim the edge.
The other being that straying from the road even a little on some maps will force a reset or, if you're like me and prefer not to use resets, sticks you in a rather long loading screen when you choose to retry the event from the beginning.
On a brighter note, however, I think anyone keeping up with the franchise should absolutely give this game a test drive. It holds to NFS in style and design to me, and excels in geographical accuracy/detail. A little patience, and some tweaking in how you might be used to controlling other NFS games should pay off to quite an enjoyable run.
