The graphics are impressive and the cockpit view works really well, the sense of speed is great.
Sadly, the play isn't as good as Forza or Grid. It's almost like they made the game more of a casual racer like burnout but without the thrills of burnout. I can see why EA handed over the NFS franchise to makers of Burnout for the next version in the series. There's no real damage like Grid or Forza and the game is filled with bugs and glitches. I've only rented the game a few days and had to quit the game at least 10 times because my car didn't draw in or the camera is stuck in replay mode.
Instead of going back to the roots of the NFS franchise which involved you driving fast exotic sports cars and getting chased by cops through awesome landscapes, they throw everything away and try to copy the competition. It tries too hard to be like Forza or Grid but never gets the core gameplay feeling. I'm glad I rented it first.
