A new look and feel for Need for Speed

I put this game in my Q as soon as I saw it posted. My exp w/ Most Wanted, and Carbon City had me playing these series for long hours.
Do not get this game with expectation that you are going to have the next step in the evolution of that style of the series.
This is definitely a change in style for Need for Speed. My rating of 5 is not based on the differences between the last few releases and this game, but rather this game alone.
I do not like the feel of the cars. Going around corners is not arcade style, nor is it simulation style. It feels somewhere stuck in the middle. The damage is a good try, but NFS needs to look a bit more at what Dirt did from a damage point of view.
For me this game has turned out to be very frustrating. The drag racing element is hard to get down, and the repetition is boring. I also think that the garage is in serious need of rework. The template based upgrade is hard to work with and not user friendly at all.
If you are a fan of racing then rent this game and if you like it, use the option to buy. Keep it safe with this title. There are better options if you simply want a game to take a set of cars and run tracks with. DIRT would be at the top of my list. If you want an open racer, then stick around and wait a bit longer for the next game....
