NFS:MW is just adrenaline soaked, sweaty palmed, action-packed-racing, fun! I gave this game a perfect score, 10 out of 10. Most Wanted is the pinnacle of arcade racing; putting you behind the wheel of some amazing cars and pushing you to the limit of your ability. The game is all about out pacing your opponents and out running the cops. Everything about the game sucks you into the world, there's even a bit of a story that lets you put a face to some of the insanity on the road. (something that is seriously lacking in a lot of racing games.) The game sports a free-roam/open-world for those who like to explore, test new vehicles, find shortcuts, or just stir up trouble with the local P.D. It also offers a decent challenge. As you tune better cars you'll find yourself becoming a better driver, and the climax of the game is epic.
The game was made in '05 so the graphics are a bit dated, however the gameplay is so solid you might find a way to look beyond that. I honestly don't know how much a sim-racing fan would enjoy a game like this, since they put style and action over realism. Anyone else though should definitely give this a try.
