While Carbon is a decent game, it feels almost exactly like Most Wanted... Which felt almost exactly like Underground 2 (Albeit with better cars). The Need for Speed series has stagnated too much, in my opinion. I'd really like to see them do something new (Perhaps a Porsche Unleashed style history game?) rather than re-hash it again and again.
Canyon duels are interesting, but really not that different from normal duels (Except you have to race the track twice). The team aspect is awful, as I think everyone ever has said. The territory defense thing just ensures you have to randomly re-do one of the races for a tiny amount of reward. Drifting is a welcome return, anyway. It's actually quite fun. It's all pretty solid besides those complaints, but like I said, you've done it before... several times.
